El Mina Mosque/Hurghada
The opening of the port mosque (el mina mosque) in January 2012, coincided with the celebrations of the Red Sea Governorate’s national anniversary. The mosque was built on an area of four thousand square meters at a total cost of approximately 20 million egyptian pounds from investors' own efforts and with the support of the citizens, the Red Sea Governorate and the Ministry of Religious Endowments. The huge mosque, characterized by a unique architectural style, is one of the largest in the province. It has become an iconic landmark.
Hamed Goher Museum/Hurghada
Hamed Gohar is the spiritual father of the Sealife Museum in the Al Ahyaa area of Hurghada. When Hamed Gohar moved to Hurghada and managed the local Marine Biology station, he continued his scientific research, concentrated on Red Sea objects. Eventually, he received a PhD degree in science in this branch of knowledge.
An entire generation of Egyptians grew up with ‘ Dr Hamed’. He hosted a very popular weekly television program. It was called ‘Sea World’, in which he highlighted under water scenery with films of the most various nature.
Nightlife / Hurghada

El Gouna Film Festival/El Gouna
The GFF is an annual film festival, established in 2017 and coming to town every year now in September. The festival’s top feature film competition is called the Golden Star.
The El Gouna International Squash Open/El Gouna
The El Gouna International Squash Open is an annual event that has been on the agenda since 2010. It takes place every April and hosts the highest ranked international top players.
Oktoberfest/El Gouna
The Gouna equivalent to the famous Bavarian Oktoberfest has become a fine tradition and is held every October. You can enjoy typical German food, grilled sausages, draft beer and the party. The Oktoberfest kicks off with German music only to move on to well-known international songs. The entrance is free of charge and reservations are not required.
Mini Egypt Park/Makadi Bay
The Mini Egypt Park in Makadi Bay offers its visitors tourist attractions at one glance in their miniature park. The park looks like a mini-catalogue you lterally walk through. It’s extremely popular with children with their parents and grandparents. The (new) Miniature Museum includes a collection consisting of 60 works of art by well selected artists.
Sand City / Hurghada
The art of sand castle building has been with us for centuries but the first documented evidence dates from only 500 years ago. Sand City in Hurghadais the only open air sand sculpture museum in Africa and the Middle East. Sand City Hurghada is made of 42 sculptures and 17 reliefs by artists from different countries.
Sliders Cable Park / El Gouna
