Diving services, excursions and accommodations

By making a booking with Blue Ocean Dive Centers and Resorts you accept the terms and conditions listed hereunder. Please read carefully:

Prices
•    All prices listed on this website for daily diving, tours, activities, dive programs, equipment and diving courses are per person, quoted in the currency of the European Union (Euro, €), and including taxes and service charges.
•    Accommodation rates (or diving packages with accommodation) are per person in a standard double room on full board basis. Single room supplements and triple room deductions are applicable.
•    Full board basis includes: breakfast, lunch and dinner. All are served in buffet style. Soft, hot drinks and fresh water are included with all meals.
•    Children will be charged according to their age as following:
- Children 0-5.99 years are free of charge, staying in parents’ room.
- Children 6 – 11.99 years will be charged at supplement rate.
- Children aged 12 years or above will be charged at full adult rate.

Bookings
You will receive a confirmation by email within 48 hours after making your booking through this website.
•    Our client relation team may reply by requiring additional information or clarifications in order to confirm the booking.
•    More details about your booking and how to pay will be shared when sending your booking confirmation.
•    For bookings concerning groups or through travel agents, please contact us.

Payment upon Check-in / Onsite

•    On arrival, clients with pre-booked reservations should submit the received confirmation indicating the services that have already been confirmed on a specific date or period.
•    Services such as daily diving, snorkeling, sea trips and diving courses require a booking confirmation. Advanced payment may not be required for similar services.  
•    Cash payments are accepted in USD, EUR or EGP
•    Credit card payments upon check-in / onsite can be made in USD, EUR or EGP and are subject to a 2% charge. We accept VISA and MasterCard at our dive centers and resorts.

Advanced Payment

•    For bookings including accommodation, special requests or bookings requiring a minimum number of persons; therefore, a deposit or a full-service charge may be required in advance to secure your booking unless otherwise agreed.
•    Prepaid bookings are currently made by bank transfer.
•    Deposits may be made through bank transfer or by credit card (Visa or Master Card).
•    Advanced payments must be deposited within at least 14 days prior to arrival date unless otherwise agreed.
•    Services will be provided strictly according to the voucher presented upon check-in.
•    Online payment is not available right now but will activate soon.

Changes on Confirmed Bookings
•    You may request a change to your booking by submitting an email and referring to the booking/confirmation number on the confirmation email you have received earlier.
•    Any change made to the original booking is subject to acceptance or rejection.
•    In case of receiving payment or issuing a receipt, no administrative fees will be applicable except to the required changes.
•    Sea trips itineraries may vary depending on weather conditions, local authority’s permissions and other force majeure factors.

Cancellation Policy
For advanced-paid bookings
•    In case of cancellation of a confirmed booking (partially or fully paid booking), the following cancellation fees shall be applied, unless otherwise agreed:
•        Cancellation 14 days prior to the check-in date, 30%.
•        Cancellation 7 days prior to the check-in date, 50%.
•        Cancellation 48h prior to the check-in date, the full amount will be non-refundable.

Refund Policy
•    Refunding any received amount of money to the same account is usually made by using the same method used in the original payment. Refunding money shall not be made in case of the absence of presentation of the current booking. In some cases, additional charges may be applied by the local bank without prior notice.

Liveaboard and Mini Safari Programs


Prices
•    All prices listed on this website for liveaboards and mini safaris, equipment and diving courses are per person, quoted in the currency of the European Union (Euro, €), and including taxes and service charges.
•    Onboard accommodation prices are based on two guests sharing one cabin for onboard accommodation.
•    Prices include: diving guides fees, 12L tanks, food, soft beverages and fresh water (alcoholic beverages not included).
•    Prices exclude diving equipment rental, diving courses and related material or other diving upgrades and Nitrox.
•    For single use of double bedrooms, a single supplement of 65% will be charged.
•    High-deck cabins reservations are subject to a supplement of 100 Euros per guest per week.
•    ROUTE supplement is charged per guest per stay. This supplement is collected on the boat prior to departure and includes: marina entrance, diving permissions, marine park fees, fuel supplement and meet & assist services.
•    At meet & assist, a supplement of 25€ for entry Visa, valid for 30 days to be booked upon request (only available at Hurghada or Marsa alam Airport).
•    Onboard crew gratuities of 50€ per guest will be highly appreciated.

Bookings

•    Maximum passenger capacity is 22 guests onboard. A minimum of 11 confirmed bookings are required for trip operation.

Payment Policy
For liveaboard and mini safari bookings, a minimum number of confirmed bookings are required for trip operation; therefore, a deposit or a full-service charge may be required in advance to secure your booking unless otherwise agreed.
•    25% of individual bookings or charter hire upon confirmation.
•    25% of individual or charter hire, 90 days prior to scheduled trip date.
•    50% of individual or charter hire, 60 days prior to scheduled trip date.
•    In the event of not receiving the 50% of individual booking or charter hire 60 days prior to scheduled trip, cancellation policy will apply.

Cancellation Policy
After the booking is confirmed:
•    Before 91 days prior to scheduled departure date, 25% of the applicable charter or individual booking price.
•    90 to 61 days prior to scheduled departure date, 50% of the applicable charter or individual booking price.
•    60 days prior to scheduled departure date, 95% of the applicable charter or individual booking price.
•    Cancellation policy will apply on changing the trip date after booking confirmation.

Refund Policy

Safety and Standard Procedures

Scuba Diving Activities

Upon your check-in and before starting your diving program or diving tour, few standard procedures are required to ensure the maximum safety for all scuba divers and guests of our dive centers, beaches or sailing fleet:

•    All divers need to do a check dive from the house reef prior to participating in boat trips, also they’re required to do the following skills: mask removal, reg recovery, clear, weight and buoyancy check.
•    Open water Divers who didn’t dive for six months or more are required to do a refresher dive which may include all skills necessary in confined water.
•    Any diver who didn’t dive for more than 12 months is required to do a refresher dive which may include all skills necessary in confined water.
•    DMs and OWSIs need to do their first dive from the house reef but skills may be not required.
•    Repeater guest whom we know their level and their last dive was within 12 months may participate in boat trips without check dive but we keep the right to agree or not.
•    Divers need to show a diving license which we keep at the dive center till the end of their activity, and if any diver fails to prove his level of diving then the diver will need to sign a “Declaration Form” and the first dive will be a refresher dive.
•    Divers who book for unguided dives from the house reef (first time with Blue Ocean) must first do a dive with a guide to evaluate their ability to dive unguided, but repeater guests whom we know can book directly but we keep the right to agree or not.
•    House reef diving is made between 8:00 AM and 4:15 PM.
•    Welcome dives are scheduled every day at 8:30 AM, 11:30 AM and 14:30 PM.
•    Speed boat and RIB tours are scheduled every day at 8:30 AM, 11:30 AM and 14:30 PM.
•    Cruising to dive sites is subject to weather conditions, and some sites require prior authority permissions.
